Part of our mission to encourage thriving communities is ensuring that everyone has access to valuable educational opportunities that help adults secure well-paying, meaningful jobs.
The United Works Program is a collaboration between the United Way of Beaver County and Job Training for Beaver County (JTBC) which is aimed at helping ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households access educational opportunities that were previously out of reach in an effort to help them transition from ALICE to a higher level of financial stability.
Job Training for Beaver County will work with applicants to determine eligibility for the United Works Program. To be eligible, a person must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be a Beaver County resident
- Provide a verification that current household income is under ALICE survival budget guidelines
- Be accepted into either one of the Community College of Beaver County training programs included on the PA CareerLink eligible training provide list (ETPL), or a building and construction trades pre-apprenticeship or registered apprenticeship program
